Time: 6:30 to 8:30 PM
Location: Hands Maker's Collective (Los Angeles, CA)
In this workshop, you will create a custom fragrance rooted in aromatherapy using primarily natural materials. Scent has the power to affect your body and evoke physical and mental reactions - and why not smell amazing with a blend designed specifically for you, by you. And, because we love to upcycle, you’ll choose a vintage perfume bottle for your creation.
Before we start, we’ll reflect and discuss on ways fragrance has affected us - maybe it’s a memory or a reminder of a person or special time in your life. We’ll discuss some basic principles of creating a perfume (and decide which rules we will break!). Then, I will guide you through the selection and blending of your personal, custom perfume to help ignite your senses and support your daily rituals. From mood-boosting to chillaxing, you’ll formulate a fragrance with the added benefit of an instantaneous effect on your mood and emotions.
Camp Disco is here to help you DISCOnnect and discover a playful approach to fragrance and self-care. Founder Sarah McDaniel has hosted over 1,000 blending sessions in the Los Angeles area since 2017, with activations at BeautyCon, The Bloc, Athleta and Unique LA.
